Robert Carver Brooks

Bob Brooks (1939-2016) retired in 1995 to the head of Penobscot Bay, Maine, following a professional career on both sides of the aisle of the so-called “Military-Industrial Complex.” He authored many historical articles marking the bicentennial of events in Maine in regional newspapers. He also authored historical and genealogical articles in The Maine Genealogist, the quarterly journal of the Maine Genealogical Society, and the now defunct magazine Downeast Ancestry. He presented his paper “Captain Henry Mowat, R.N., & H.M.S. Albany, Sloop of War, 1775–1783” before the Penobscot Bay Regional History Conference at the Penobscot Marine Museum in 2004.
