Mark Edward Lender holds a PhD in American History from Rutgers University and is now Professor Emeritus of History at Kean University. He is an award-winning author or co-author of fourteen books, including Cabal! The Plot against General Washington. The Conway Cabal Reconsidered (Westholme, 2024). His latest title is War Without Mercy: Liberty or Death in the American Revolution (Osprey, 2025, with James Kirby Martin). Most recently, Lender served on the design team for the Army’s special 250th Anniversary Exhibit at the National Museum of the U.S. Army, Fort Belvoir.
