Author: Dennis Amos

Dennis Amos is a retired engineer from Westinghouse & Siemens. He is co-author with Dr. Bobby G. Moss of “Tombstones and Cemeteries of Cherokee Co., SC.,” 4 Volumes, 1984–2006. He has also self-publish cadastral maps of colonial and early up-state grants in South Carolina. Each map is based on a watershed: some show bounty lands from the French-Indian war, plats reserved for Irish, loyalist confiscated lands, and patriot land grants. “The Pacolet River of South Carolina,” (2009) includes Grindal Shoals, where Daniel Morgan camped to rest his troops for 24 days before marching to Cowpens.
