Alexandra I. Griffeth is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in American History with a concentration in the American Revolution. Her thesis will center on the colonial militia and their relevance today. She currently works full time for the Virginia Army National Guard. When she’s not working, Alexandra visits as many historical sites and national parks as possible. As a member of both Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the War of 1812, she enjoys researching personal stories of the people who lived through and fought in those wars.
