After two years of publishing at a vigorous pace, we are finally taking a short vacation. Although it won’t be much of a vacation as we’ll be busy working on our Annual Volume 2015, selecting our Book of the Year Award winner(s) and editing new article submissions. While we’re away, we have two important assignments for our readers:

  1. If you haven’t already, please take 11 seconds to sign up for our newsletter. You’ll receive America’s most important history delivered to your inbox once a month. No spam, we promise. Unsubscribe anytime.
  2. If you’re an exceptional researcher/writer and interested in contributing to the hottest history magazine in America, please contact us today. Or if you know an aspiring nonfiction author, please tell him/her about us. With 65,000 readers per month, we have a lot of eyeballs to feed.

Journal of the American Revolution will be back with more great articles on January 12, 2015. Until then, here are some great reads:

  • Another great year on the site! Love the articles, I’ll miss them during the layoff, but can’t wait for the volume 2 book!! Happy Holidays to all the excellent editors and writers on the site.

  • And you guys do deserve a break after your grand finale this past week. I’ve been copy & pasting your columns for over a year to MS Word, printing them out, and filing them in a cabinet, along with hundreds of other articles about Colonial and Revolutionary America. Thank you for all of your hard work and tireless effort.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Blessed New Year to all of you.

  • Thanks so much for your loyal readership, Eric and Zak.

Zak: If you want to bypass the copy-paste step in your archiving process, we have made every article printer friendly so you can easily print directly from your web browser. There are two options for that: 1) Click the “File” menu at the top of your browser and then select “Print”; or 2) Click the “Print” button at the bottom of every article. If it helps, click here to see a screenshot of the button.

Thanks again and enjoy the holiday!
