Walt Chiquoine retired a few years ago after several career incarnations as a successful engineer, consultant, and business owner. He first learned to research the pre-internet archives and historical societies while building a family genealogy in the 1990s. Living near Hockessin, Delaware, Walt spent several thousand hours over many years researching local Mill Creek Hundred history as context for understanding and confirming the British movements of 1777. He has served on boards of the Hale-Byrnes House and the Hockessin Historical Society, and is a proud supporter of the 1st Delaware Regiment reenactors. Walt now lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
