Steven M. Baule

Steven M. Baule

Steven M. Baule is the author of ten books including Protecting the Empire's Frontier: Officers of the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment of Foot during its North American Service, 1767-1776. His primary research focuses on the British military presence in the Midwest before and during the American Revolution. He was originally a history teacher and currently serves as the superintendent of the North Boone School District in Illinois. Baule holds doctorates from Loyola University of Chicago and Northern Illinois University. He is a regular contributor to both historical and educational journals. He is a veteran of the US Army infantry. He is currently on the Board of Governors for the Company of Military Historians.
