Robert Guy is co-founder of the Becoming America educational initiative. He is the author of the forthcoming book Becoming America: Liberty, Unity, and the Seed of a Nation, slated for publication early in 2024, and of "William Thompson and the Pennsylvania Rifleman" in Pennsylvania's Revolution. He holds an M.A. in American History from Slippery Rock University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen, UK, where he was sponsored by the DAR as the Hugh Mercer Scholar. He is an active member of the Fort McIntosh Garrison in Beaver, Pennsylvania and the Anthony Wayne Chapter of the SAR.
