Matthew H. Ward

Matthew H. Ward is a native of Matawan, New Jersey, who currently lives outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with his fiancé Sarah. He holds a B.A. in History and Culture from Arizona State University and an M.A. in History from Rutgers University-Camden. He is a historian and boxing journalist, who is the author of several articles in publications and websites such as, The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania's PhilaPlace.org, Philly Boxing History.com, the Picatinny Voice (Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey) newspaper, The United States Army official website, and The Weigh-In: Your Home for Combat Sports. Ward has served for over 13 years as an officer and civilian in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve.
