Author: Jonathan Carriel

Jonathan Carriel is the author of the on-going Thomas Dordrecht Historical Mystery Series, tracing the life of a businessman and accidental sleuth in late colonial New York City. The fourth, most recent, tale, Exquisite Folly, is set amid the worst riots the city had ever known, protesting the Stamp Act in 1765. A fifth story, Corrupt Hearts, forthcoming in 2018, takes place in the winter of 1770—months of repeatedly downed and reconstructed Liberty Poles, the “Battle of Golden Hill,” the infamous jailing of Alexander McDougall, and report of the Boston Massacre. Carriel currently serves as the secretary-treasurer and webmaster of the American Revolution Round Table of New York (www.ARRT-NY.org). He possesses an M.A. in history from NYU. He is a recreational sailor and a great lover of music—both of which traits are mirrored in his protagonist.(www.JonathanCarriel.com)
