Bruce L. Petersen

Bruce L. Petersen

Bruce L. Petersen is a retired Trade Association Executive who spent his career working in Washington, D.C. He is an alumnus of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and holds a doctorate in economics also from Georgetown. He has a life-long interest in history. He joined the Town of Summerfield, North Carolina, Historical Committee upon moving to North Carolina six years ago. Finding discrepancies between local versions of the Bugle Boy Skirmish and published original sources he began a research effort culminating in his paper on the significance of the Bugle Boy Skirmish. He and his wife live one mile from the Reedy Fork Creek. He wishes to thank Lawrence Babits and members of the Historical Committee and friends Mark Spooner and Bill Christ for their help in this effort.
