Author: Brett Bannor

Brett Bannor is delighted to be Manager of Animal Collections for Goizueta Gardens at the Atlanta History Center (AHC). There he enjoys his fondness for living things in a historic setting that includes gardens and an antebellum farmstead featuring public programs for families and school groups. When not engaged in the daily care of heritage breed sheep, goats, chickens, and turkeys, or monitoring wildlife on the 33 acre AHC campus, he studies the historic connections between animals and people. Prior to AHC, Brett provided husbandry at several zoos and parks. He authored a book on bighorn sheep for pre-teens and is co-author of Common Gallinule for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Birds of North America database.
