While the Journal of the American Revolution is published online, affording broad access and a measure of interactivity with readers, there is a permanence and prominence to a printed volume that the web cannot match. We’re advancing the study of history, after all, so there’s something to be said about producing a tangible, archivable object that blends modern research and perspectives with traditional presentation. Each annual volume consists of thirty to forty of the previous year’s best articles as determined by our editorial board. What you’ll find in each collection is sure to delight, offering new perspectives on many aspects of the people, politics, events, and engagements of the American Revolution, with select original articles published across a twelve month span side-by-side, providing a continuity that cannot be achieved in an ongoing online presentation. Our annual volumes, and the ongoing endeavor that is Journal of the American Revolution, bring new appreciation and insights on the conflict that forged a great nation.
