This Week on Dispatches: Colin G. Calloway and The Indian World of George Washington

Colin G. Calloway. (Dartmouth University)

You won’t want to miss this week’s Dispatches, which will be available beginning Sunday evening, February 24. Host Brady Crytzer’s guest is distinguished historian Colin G. Calloway who discusses his new book, The Indian World of George Washington, winner of the 2018 Journal of the American Revolution Book of the Year. In addition to fascinating insights into George Washington’s relationship with Native Americans across Washington’s lifetime, Prof. Calloway—the John Kimball, Jr. 1943 Professor of History at Dartmouth—also reveals how, as a British scholar, he first became interested in Native Americans during the colonial and Revolutionary periods.

As your host says, “Sit back, relax, and enjoy the interview. . . .”

New episodes of Dispatches are available for free every Sunday evening (Eastern United States Time) on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, and the JAR Dispatches web site.

Thank you as always for listening!
